HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Jesus once said that the greatest example of love that will ever be known is that a man would die for his friends. That’s the ultimate expression of love. The principle is “the greater the love, the greater the willingness to sacrifice.”

The world will never know a greater love than Jesus has for us. He proved that love by dying for his enemies (us). There is no rival to that love.
The second greatest love that the world knows must be a Mother’s love. A mother spends her life for her children. She also “lays down her life” for her children - maybe not with a single act of dying, but with life-long acts of constant sacrifice. She lives every day for her family.
Her love knows no bounds. No sacrifice is too great. No night is too long… No sorrow too deep… No mistake too great…to exhaust her love. It’s the most consistent thing in this world. We never get too old to be influenced by our Mother’s love. It motivates us till our dying day.
As I think back, I can’t think of anything that my mother kept back just for herself. Not her time, her energy, her talents, her possessions… I can’t think of anything. She spent it all on her family. She went without things she needed to give her family things we wanted.
Today is a day to remember our Mother.
