From the Library…
By kstegall • May 22nd, 2008 • Category: From KenLiterally… That’s where my “office” is- the church library. I think the Lord is teaching me something. I have been one of those preachers who operates out of an office. Some preachers hate an office; but I don’t happen to be one of them. It’s my place to study and spend time with people.
Now, I will admit that when it’s really pretty weather outside, sometimes I have some difficulty concentrating… because I think about how nice it would be to be in my boat on the lake pitching a lure!
We have been experiencing some delay (to put it nicely) in the completion of our new classroom/offices/library building. But we’re slowly getting there. Lord willing, we will soon be in that building. But meanwhile, back in the library… I never thought I could function with all my books and files in storage for six months. Now I’m thinking, “Maybe I don’t even need them!” … just kidding!
But none of this has done anything to dampen the spirits or enthusiasm of the family here at WOCC! I want to thank you all for the record number of people who have volunteered to assist with our upcoming VBS (last I heard, something like 110 volunteers)… and a record number of participants in our upcoming Family Camp weekend (about 75). Plus, we have 186 of our family members who have committed to read our New Testaments within the next six months.
It’s great to be part of a family where we have so many people who are using our talents and participating in activities to serve, encourage and grow.
We are family.
