From the Library… Still!
By kstegall • May 22nd, 2008 • Category: From KenWhen I wrote the last article (quite some time ago), I entitled it “From the Library” thinking that I would have an office within a short period of time. That was several months ago! I’m writing from the library… STILL! Suffice it to say that we have experienced some difficulty with our contracting company. We have a building practically finished [for the past several months] but have been unable to take possession of it. Our bonding company has recently taken control of the project, so we’re hoping that we will soon be able to occupy the building.
Everyone has been incredibly good-natured and patient during this long delay. I’m impressed. Someone astutely said, “If you can laugh at it, you can live with it.” I suppose we are an example of that. Maybe soon I’ll be able to get my books and files out of storage and into an office.
Interestingly, though we desperately need the classroom/office space, it seems to have not hindered our growth. We gained approximately 60 additions to our family in 2008 and continue at that same rate thus far into 2009!
Special thanks to the teachers who are having overcrowding problems in their classrooms. Hopefully, soon we will be able to alleviate that problem.
We are beginning to gear up for VBS, summer mission trips, a youth mission trip and numerous summer activities upcoming. Our ladies class and Community Bible Class continues to attract new participants.
If you are visiting this area we invite you to come to our assemblies. The preaching is fair… but the singing is fantastic!
