Bio of Ken Stegall

Ken Stegall

Ken was born in the Louisiana delta town of Ferriday and grew up on a farm on the Tensas River. Janis was born and grew up in Louisiana as well. They met in the Christian student center at the University of Louisiana in Monroe. When Ken finally persuaded Janis to marry him, they were married at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ.

Ken has been a faithful preacher, teaching God’s word in various places including Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Durant, Oklahoma and El Dorado, Arkansas. He moved to the Woodlands, Texas in 2007 and has been serving at Woodland Oaks Church of Christ since then. Ken’s career has allowed him to serve in various roles in the church over the years. He has been involved with mission work in the West Indies, Belarus, Africa, Romania, Bhina, Hong Kong, Ukraine, and Mexico.

Ken enjoys fishing, hunting and gardening. He considers the greatest asset in his life (after the gift of God’s righteousness) to be his wife and family. Ken and Janis have four daughters, four sons-in-law and ten grandchildren.

One of Ken’s favorite Bible passages is Romans chapters 1-8 that discusses the exciting truth of God’s gift of imputed righteousness which both justifies us and sanctifies us. It provides HOPE for the hopeless and SECURITY for the insecure. It is truly GOOD NEWS for everyone!
