Bio of Mark Freeman

Mark was born in San Jose, California and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. Sharon grew up in the Beaumont, Texas area. They married after graduating from Abilene Christian University, where they met. The Beaumont area was their home for over 20 years. They relocated to the Dallas, Texas area where they lived for six years, before moving to The Woodlands during the summer of 2000. Their daughter, Laura, is married to Kevin Sim. Their son, Todd, married Iveth Ramirez in February 2014. All are members at WOCC.

Both Mark and Sharon grew up in the Church of Christ, and have served in various congregations throughout their marriage. Mark served as a deacon in each congregation. He served as Elder for two years at the Vista Ridge Church of Christ in Lewisville, Texas prior to Woodland Oaks. Sharon really enjoys teaching the second grade class on Sunday mornings, and is committed to being sure her students learn to value having a relationship with God.

Mark’s career spans over 34 years in the Oil and Gas Industry. Sharon is a home maker, and also manages their home décor/gift business. They value family time together with their children and grandchildren and enjoy being with them often.
