Bio of Scott Blake

Scott was born in Brownwood and grew up in Seminole, Texas. While in Seminole, both Scott and Sara Smith attended Westside Church of Christ where they were both baptized. Scott and Sara would later marry and live in Lubbock where Scott would graduate with B.B.A. degree from Texas Tech University. In 1982, Scott accepted a job with Exxon Company USA in Midland, TX. While in Midland, Scott and Sara were members at Fairmont Park Church of Christ. In 1994, they transferred to the Houston area and were members at the Katy Church of Christ.  In 1999, Scott and Sara moved to Magnolia where they began to work and worship with the Woodland Oaks Church of Christ. Scott has taught Bible classes and served three congregations as a Deacon in the areas of Involvement, Building & Grounds and Worship, while Sara is active in the Fellowship ministry and in Children’s bible classes. In 2016, Scott retired from ExxonMobil with over 34 years of service. 

Scott and Sara are blessed with two sons, two beautiful daughters-in-laws and five grandchildren that also live in The Woodlands and worship with the family that meets at Woodland Oaks. Jordan and his wife Ashley have two children while Joel and his wife Kendra have three children. As for hobbies, Scott and Sara enjoy traveling and spending time with their family, grandchildren, and church family.
