Position: Youth Ministry Summer Intern

Description: Woodland Oaks is searching for a male summer intern to work with an established youth ministry. We are a congregation of approximately 700 members located in The Woodlands, TX, about 35 miles north of Houston. Our youth group consists of 40-50 teens, grades 7th-12th, led by a team comprised of a Youth Minister and two Youth Deacons.

Requirements: Baptized male believer, attending university (preferred major: bible / ministry).
The responsibilities of the intern will be as follows:
- Teach Sunday morning or Wednesday evening (Sr. High, Jr. High, or Combined) class
- Write the weekly Youth Ministry bulletin article
- Shadow youth minister to observe various aspects of ministry
- Plan/Attend various activities throughout the summer
- Brainstorm, plan, and implement activities of your own (local)
- Take advantage of every opportunity to speak, lead singing, etc.
- Maintain a minimum of 15 hours in the office per week for study & preparation time
- Take on the full responsibilities of the youth minister in his absence
- Attend monthly Elders/Minister meeting
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation will be discussed with candidates individually.
The approximate dates of work: May 26, 2019 – August 2, 2019
