Carlton Wayne Merriman, immediately nicknamed “Butch” by his Dad, was born in Midland, Texas, which was his home through high school. Upon graduation from Texas Tech in 1969 as a Mechanical Engineer, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Following 2.5 years in the army, stationed at Lawton, Oklahoma and Germany, his job assignments took him to Port Arthur, Texas, Amarillo, Texas, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Conroe, Texas. Nancy is third in a family of eight children who lived at numerous Air Force Bases and settled in Tulsa for her Junior High and High School years. Mac was born in Wharton, Texas and grew up in Angleton, TX. He graduated with a Business Management degree from Abilene Christian University in 1976. He was on the golf team and sang in Acapella chorus. During the summers of his college years, he sold books and Bibles for the Southwestern Publishing Company. Martin (Marty) and Debra Miller were founding members of Woodland Oaks along with Jerry and Billie Robertson in 1992. Marty was raised a country boy in southern Illinois and was transplanted to Midland, Texas in 1967 by a job transfer of his father. Janna Wilkerson is a native from West Monroe, Louisiana and moved to The Woodlands, TX in 2010. Janna grew up in the church of Christ and is married to Kevin Wilkerson, who serves in the roles of Coordinating, leading our 3rd to 6th grade Boys, and  the Young Boys Song Leading program at Woodland Oaks.
